IMPORTANT FIRE SAFETY INFORMATION FOR YOUR HOME

If your building operates an evacuation policy

Please read this and keep it safe

Your safety, and the safety of the people who live with you is very important to us. To help to keep you safe, it is important that we share information with you, so you know what to do if there is a fire, and what you can do to help to keep yourselves and your neighbours safe.  This also helps us to meet the new Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022.

Your building operates an evacuation policy. This means if you hear the alarm in your building, you and anyone else in your property must leave and meet at the assembly point.

The leaflet with this letter provides you with information relevant to your building. It says that:

  • If you hear the fire alarm, you must leave / evacuate the building as soon as possible
  • Please check for fire safety signs in your building.  These will tell you where to meet (this is called an assembly point) if there is a fire alarm. These may look slightly different to the example we have included in this letter; however, the information will be similar.

We need you to help us to keep everyone safe by reading this information and doing what it asks.  Please also keep it safe so you can look at it again.  If anyone moves in to, or visits your home, we would ask you to share this with them.

If you or someone who lives in your home, would need help to leave the building in an emergency, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can agree with you what we can do to help.

If you have any questions about this letter or want to know more about fire safety in your home or building, please contact your Neighbourhood Services Manager or colleagues that work on site where you live.  If you live in a Plumlife property then please contact Plumlife Directory on 0161 447 5050 / directory@plumlife.co.uk
