Independence and Wellbeing Performance 2019/20

Key performance highlights from 2019/20

Overall performance:

  • Great Places has invested £4million in support revenue
  • We've employed 115 colleagues to support our customers
  • We've invested £30k in adaptations to ensure our customers can stay in their homes

Directly managed:

  • 17 accommodation projects providing temporary supported housing comprising of 288 units
  • 518 customers received a service in our temporary supported housing
  • 5573 wellbeing plans completed with customers

Partner managed:

  • Accommodated 774 vulnerable customers in partnership with specialist care and support agencies
  • Worked with commissioners across 22 local authorities

Tenancy Coach service:

  • 385 general needs customers supported by our Tenancy Coaches to maintain their independent tenancies
  • Great Places invested £300k in Tenancy Coaching services
  • 492 wellbeing plans completed with our customers

Independent living:

  • 15 Extra-Care and Sheltered schemes comprising of 134 Extra-Care and 364 Sheltered flats
  • 608 customers supported
  • Great Places' total investment in support revenue for elderly services totalled £240k

A Bed Every Night (ABEN):

  • GM Combined Authority initiative
  • Provided night shelter for 130 people
  • Supported 130 people onto the housing register
  • Supported 110 people into temporary and permanent accommodation

Social Impact Bond (SIB):

  • Delivery partner in GM homes partnership
  • 106 rough sleepers supported into accommodation across Bury, Bolton, Oldham, Rochdale and Tameside
  • On-going support with 85% maintaining their accommodation for 6 months plus

Housing First:

  • Lead provider on GM Housing Fit pilot - one of only three programmes in the UK
  • 103 people with complex multiple needs supported into permanent homes of their own
  • 69 people supported off the streets into their own homes
