Northfields

Northfields is located in New Moston in Manchester and provides 20 self contained one bedroom apartments with communal space.

Each apartment has its own bedroom and living room in addition to adaptable kitchen and wet room facilities, which provides flexible living arrangements for its residents. The building’s infrastructure facilitates the use of “˜plug and play’ technology, which allows a wide range of assistive technologies to be wirelessly installed and connected in order to support residents.

The scheme is part of Manchester Adult Social Care’s wider development of 70 units in the city for the re-provision of learning disability accommodation as they look to move residents on from older properties with accessibility and sustainability issues, meet the growing demand of a younger cohort transitioning from education and relocate adults living in secure and non-secure facilities back to Manchester.
