Your rent booklet is on the way

Look out for your rent booklet over the next few days.

Most rents will go up by 7.7% from 1 April 2024. We set our rents using Government guidance. To calculate the increase, we use the September 2023 Consumer Price Index plus 1%. This means they usually go up by slightly more than the rate of inflation.

At the time customers receive their rent booklet, inflation may be lower than the level we use to calculate the rent increase. Based on Government guidance, we have to use the September Consumer Price Index to set our rents.

Look out for your rent booklet

Your rent booklet tells you exactly what you’ll pay as well as any increase in service charge (if you pay one) from 1 April 2024. This year, instead of the information we bring in the usual printed letter format, the content will be presented in a designed booklet that will have more tailored information for customers depending on their different circumstances.

On Universal Credit? And your rent has changed?

You don’t need to do anything in your Universal Credit journal until you receive a prompt via your journal after 1 April. You can get more details at youtube.com/shorts/h4tWjzbOvW8
