Great Places has been awarded the Cyber Essentials (CE) certification.
Cyber Essentials is a cyber security standard introduced by the UK Government that aims to provide organisations with pragmatic protection against the most common cyber security threats. The certification is renewable every 12 months.
Commenting on achieving CE accreditation, Sharon Hayes, Director of Technology Services at Great Places, said:
The CE badge significantly endorses Great Places’ stature as a company that takes cyber security very seriously. It demonstrates our commitment to the UK Government cyber security initiatives while also demonstrating to our customers and partners that we’re a company they can trust.
While Cyber Essentials is a great achievement and has involved many months of work, it is just one piece of the jigsaw when it comes to cyber security. Our people are paramount in improving our response to cyber security and with this in mind, the Technology Services team are looking to increase the breadth and scope of user training in this area with plans to incorporate into the company wide mandatory training programme.
