Great Places has appointed Mike Gerrard as our new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) joining us in the new year.
Mike is currently Chief Financial Officer at Onward Homes Limited and extensive experience in the not for profit and private sectors. Over the past 15 years he has held a number of senior finance roles in the housing sector including Group Director of Resources at The Barnet Group, and Director of Resources at Willow Park Housing Trust.
As previously announced, Phil Elvy, our current Executive Director of Finance will retire in early 2024 after ensuring a thorough transition of his responsibilities.
Commenting on Mike’s appointment Matthew Harrison, our Chief Executive, said:
I am delighted to welcome Mike to Great Places. He brings a wealth of finance experience from comparable customer centric organisations. I’m certain that his expertise will be crucial in helping to drive forward Great Places to deliver our vision of creating great homes and communities.
I would also like to thank Phil for his significant contribution to Great Places’ success over the last 17 years, and wish him all the best for his retirement.
