Great Places is beyond delighted to announce that we have won, alongside our fellow Houseproud North-West members, Best Parade Entry Overall at this year’s Manchester Pride.
We are overjoyed to share this prize with our customer forum, Rainbow Roofs, and 12 other organisations that have joined strengths, providing time and materials to organise the float. A big thank you to our colleagues and customers who joined us on this fantastic day.
This year, the parade theme, “March for Peace”, condemned all the conflicts around the world and claimed a future where nobody is a victim of violence, no matter their identity, country of origin or social situation. As a business, we strongly stand by this message and are committed to do our part in creating safe communities and peaceful places for our customers and colleagues.
Lizi Marsden, Head of Colleague Experience and Development of Great Places, shared her thoughts on the win saying:
“We are absolutely delighted about this prize as we are massively proud to be part of this celebration of diversity and equal rights every year. However, our support of the LGBT+ community continues all year, and we always try to translate these principles to all our communities”.
We were proud to be a part of this weekend of celebrations and show our unequivocal support for the LGTB+ community. Diversity, equality and the defence of freedom are some of the core values which form part of LGBT+ Pride and Great Places strongly stands by a clear message against any type of discrimination.
