Toolkits for people rehoused by the Greater Manchester Housing First pilot have been kindly donated by a Great Places supply chain partner.

TN Robinson Ltd, a wholesale electrical distributor, are a supplier of electrical products across the North West and Wales, have donated 25 toolkits to be given to people on the pilot to help them become more independent when they move in to their homes.

The donation was made to the pilot, as part of Great Places’ Social Value agreement with its supply chain partners who provide services to the organisation.

The kits will be handed out to selected people so they have the tools to make their house a home.

GMHF Programme Lead Emily Cole said:

Housing First is all about providing people with homes of their own and a big part of creating a home is people being able to decorate how they want and to also maintain their home.

That is why these toolkits from TNR will be so useful in enabling people on the programme to be able to do this by providing the required tools that they need, which they otherwise may not be able to afford.

Simon Thwaite, TN Robinson Ltd.’s commercial director, said:

The GMHF pilot is doing incredible work in tackling homelessness across the region and we were delighted to make this donation.

These kits will help people who are rebuilding their lives to maintain their homes and build newly found independence and that is very gratifying.

Steph Cameron, Social Value Specialist, added:

Social value is a huge priority for Great Places and it’s fantastic to work closely with our supply chain partners to be able to add value to the pilot.

I’d like to say a massive thank you to TN Robinson Ltd for their kind donation and I hope the people receiving the kits can put them to good use.
