From April 1, 2020, Great Places and Equity Housing Group joined together to form the new Great Places Housing Group.
The new landlord will manage more than 24,000 homes in more than 30 local authority areas and employ more than 700 colleagues.
Nothing will change for existing Great Places customers in terms of their tenancy, lease or licence but it is important to note that the new Great Places Housing Group will be more financially robust, with a greater ability to adapt to external challenges such as the current Coronavirus pandemic.
The partnership will help us to improve our services and develop our digital channels to allow customers to access our services in a way that suits them.
Our combined strength will also allow us to build more houses to help us to go over and above in a bid to tackle the housing crisis. And with a range of tenures, we will be able to help people get the homes they can afford.
With greater resources and expertise, we will be able to help improve the life chances of the people living in our communities and expand our social value initiatives.
The new partnership will also allow us to invest in our most valuable resource – our colleagues – to allow them to learn new skills and open up new opportunities so they can ultimately improve our services and drive the new group forward.
For these reasons, and many more, we are delighted to have brought two like-minded organisations together to form the new bigger and stronger Great Places Housing Group.
