Great Places’ In Partnership (IPP) unit teamed up with home furnishing giant Dunelm to make Christmas a little brighter.
IPP provides support and accommodation for women aged 16 – 55 who are homeless and who also need help with drug or alcohol issues in Blackburn and Olaiyah Yousaf, Housing and Wellbeing Manager, reached out to her local branch to see if they could participate in the Delivering Joy scheme.
This is a scheme where Dunelm staff write gift tags that are taken by member of the public and they can purchase a gift requested by a vulnerable person.
Once Dunelm found out more about IPP, they agreed to support the service and gave IPP with an amazing 27 gifts to be shared among the people at the centre on East Park Road along with some wonderful cards written by Dunelm customers.
