As part of last week’s Housing 2023 Conference at Manchester Central, colleagues from across Great Places were out in force at the first-ever Housing Jobs Fair, which was supported by the Greater Manchester Housing Providers, Manchester City Council, Inside Housing, Greater Manchester Apprentice and Careers Service and the Manchester Evening News.
The Jobs Fair was a project created by Great Places working closely with the organisers, Ocean Media, from inception to delivery of the event. The event aimed to promote the wide range of job opportunities available in housing for people interested in a career with a purpose. Many of the Housing Providers from across Greater Manchester were in attendance and all reported that they had found it very successful at connecting with people looking for work, particularly those looking for apprenticeships within housing.
The event was attended by customers, careers advisors and school children from across our communities – many people visited the Great Places stand, including a group of year 10 and 11 students from the Knutsford Academy School.
